Waterslide Decal Instructions 1. Spray your Waterslide Decal with a fixitive spray* to protect the ink from bleeding. To do this, spray your printed image from approximately 6-8 inches away. This should be repeated twice for best results. 2. Let the fixitive spray dry onto the image for an hour. To speed up the process, you may use a hair dryer, However; this is not recommended. 3. Once dry, cut the image, making corners as rounded as possible to prevent peeling in the future. 4. Soak the image in luke warm water for approximately 30 seconds, or until it begins to seperate from the backing. During this process, take care not to allow the image to bend, holding the image with your fingers may help to reduce bending while image is submerged in the water. 5. Carefully place the image on the product where you want it and gently slide the paper backing from behind it. Once the image is in place, gently smooth out any bubbles to make the decal flush with the product, then wipe off any water that remains on the product. 6. Allow product to dry with a fan, out of direct sunlight. Other options for hardening the product include using a hair dryer for one minute, or bake the item in the oven for 10-15 minutes at 200 degrees Farenheight. *Fixitive Spray options include: Mod Podge Clear Acrylic Sealer, Krylon Preserve It Spray, Papilio Aerosol Decal Fixative, Rust-oleum Crystal Clear Enamal, Rust-oleum Triple Thick Glaze.
